🎬 Season 1, Episode 4 - "The Introduction"

"The Introduction"

I lay back on the plush seat of the car, breathing slowly as the night air wrapped around us. Axel sat quietly beside me, his fingers tenderly stroking through my hair. It was comforting. His touches, Soft. Careful. Intimate.

Then he gently took off his singlet and began wiping me down with it. I smiled shyly, thinking, this must be what love looks like messy, real, and raw. To him, I must’ve been beautiful even in this disheveled moment.

He leaned close and whispered into my ear, his breath warm against my skin.

"Please forgive me. I couldn’t control myself. You’re so beautiful... I was drawn in the moment I saw your eyes."

I turned to him and smiled.
"Come on, you don’t have to be sorry. I’m fine."

We hugged tight, warm, connected. And for a moment, the world stopped spinning.

Then he pointed toward a softly lit house just a few meters away from the beach.

"That’s my place. I live there with my parents," he said. "Though technically... it’s my house now."

I raised my eyebrows slightly.
So he’s not just handsome, he’s stable? responsible? I couldn’t help the grin on my face.

He started the car and drove us there. The gate creaked open, and soon we were inside a beautiful compound, landscaped with white pebbles and tall tropical flowers that danced in the wind.

At the door, I was introduced to a man and a woman; older, regal-looking, with calm smiles that didn’t quite reach their eyes. He said they had just returned from the U.S. and were visiting for a while.

"These are my parents," Axel said proudly.

I greeted them politely. The man nodded with a pleasant chuckle. The woman offered a small smile and a curious gaze that lingered on me longer than felt natural.

I felt a bit uneasy, but I dismissed it. I had just met my man’s parents on the same night I met him. That had to mean something, right?

Soon after, Axel walked me back to the car. He stayed behind for a few minutes, talking at length with them in a language I didn’t understand. Their tones were hushed serious. He finally joined me again, exhaling deeply.

"I think they like you."

I laughed. “Are you sure?”

"Definitely."

We both smiled as he drove me home, our fingers occasionally brushing. It felt surreal. Like a dream. We stopped by my gate and talked for a little while longer. I even showed him my front door playfully, just in case he wanted to pass by sometime.

He eventually drove off into the night.

Omo, come and see me grinning like a high school girl. I kept replaying every moment in my head. From the beach to the car... to meeting his parents. Could it be? Had I finally found love again?

I didn’t feel cheap. I felt... swept away.

And when someone shows you to their parents so soon, it must mean they’re serious, right?

With that comforting thought, I drifted off to sleep.

That was the night everything changed.
That was the night... my tragedies began.

To be continued...
