🎬 Season 1, Episode 9 "Spoiled into Darkness"

"Spoiled into Darkness"

At this point, it felt like the dreams had become a part of me woven into the fabric of my subconscious like a familiar movie I couldn’t stop watching.

But this last one...

It was different.

I wasn’t afraid. I was exalted.

I stood adorned in regal linen embroidered with gold threads, a dazzling crown placed on my head by unseen hands. My fingers glittered with rings of sapphire and jade. Around me, robed figures bowed deeply as chants echoed across a glowing marble hall. Axel stood beside me this time in royal attire, his eyes dark and glowing. Together, we ruled that strange realm.

When I woke up, I felt… powerful. Like I had inherited something ancient.

I was still soaking in the feeling when I heard a car pull up outside.

I peeked through the curtain.

Axel.

My heart skipped.

My phone rang almost instantly.

“I’m taking you out to have some fun and shopping too. What do you think, my Queen?”

My Queen.

The same name they called me in the dream. I shook off the thought. Coincidence, I told myself. Right?

“I’ll be down in a sec!” I replied excitedly.

I quickly showered, put on a cute floral dress, light makeup, and joined him downstairs.

From the moment I entered the car, it was all vibes, laughter, kisses, and silly touches we probably wouldn’t be proud of if someone caught us. I felt alive, young, wanted and cherished.

First stop: a posh pub.

We drank exotic cocktails while jazz played softly in the background. His hand never left mine. I was glowing, completely wrapped in this spell of pleasure.

Next, the mall.

He spoiled me. Clothes. Jewelry. Perfume. Things I would never buy for myself.

He kept saying, “You deserve this… and more. You don’t know who you really are yet.”

That line again.

Who I really am?

But love is a dangerous comfort. I ignored the red flags.

I was high on attention.

Later, we took a scenic drive around town, visiting some of the most luxurious spots. He introduced me to a couple of friends, strange but charismatic men and women. They all seemed to have this eerie charm… and when they looked at me, it was as though they already knew me.

One of them, a lady with emerald eyes, touched my arm and whispered,

“He found you at last. The ocean chose well.”

I shivered, but smiled politely.

When we returned to the car, Axel leaned close and said,

“You fit in so well. It’s like you’ve been one of us forever.”

That night, I lay in bed surrounded by the many gifts he had showered me with. I clutched a soft cashmere scarf he bought, inhaling his scent.

And as I drifted into sleep, I whispered to myself:

“This can’t be a dream anymore.”

Because if it is…

I don’t want to wake up.

To be continued...
